Chatoyant is dedicated to the care we show ourselves and soft indulgence. The comfort that can sometimes only be found in solitude.

Nimbus

Cardamom, black tea, and soft peach drift into creamy osmanthus, amber woods, and warm linen musks. Nimbus feels airy and sunlit - familiar and comforting. Like waking from a dream.

The Medieval Bundle

A companion set inspired by my love of medieval history. Aqua Reginae Hungarie is a modern recreation of an extant formula from the 14th century - even featuring a brandy note which was the alcohol fragrance was originally distilled in! On the other hand, Iseult is a love letter to medieval fantasy and literature from the time period. Inspired by Arthurian legend, some Wagner (specifically the Wagner references in Neuschwanstein Castle - not really medieval but gorgeous nontheless), Game of Thrones (inspired by the Wars of the Roses), and the real stories of medieval queens.

Aqua Reginae Hungary - Notes of Rosemary, Orange Blossom, Petitgrain, Rose, Chamomille, Marigold, Lemon Balm, Comfrey, and Barrel-Aged Brandy

Iseult - Notes of Misty Green Gardens, Pink Pepper, Soft Florals, Iris Pallida, Cloister Stones, Velvet Resins, Ambrette Seed, Oakmoss, Beeswax, and Incense

Siren

Warm bergamot and mandarin settle into jasmine sambac, skin musks, and soft resinous woods. Feminine, intimate, and wears close to the body.

Oubliette

Named for the hidden dungeon accessible only through a trap door in the ceiling. Oubliette is cool earth, overripe fruit, and moss grounded with cedar wood. The contrast between damp forest air and the faded warmth of an old manor.

Velocity

The sun warms your skin, the ice in the bourbon next to you has long melted, and there’s the faint hum of a record playing inside the house. You’d stay all day if you could. Velocity is the promise of warm, sunny days ahead and the knowledge that eventually everything becomes a memory - soft and fuzzy in your mind.

Passé

Magnolia petals, warm hay, and blackberry softened by skin musks and fresh milk. Passé is sunlit and nostalgic - dry grass, faded linen, and spending late summer afternoons lounging on the front porch.

- Exaltolide is a clean macrocyclic musk used for its soft skin-like warmth. -

Vellum

Neroli and ginger settle into soft vanilla, roasted cocoa, and warm balsams and skin musks. Vellum - named for the delicate calfskin once used in illuminated manuscripts - is a more restrained approach to the gourmand.

Aqua Reginae Hungarie

Inspired by the first alcohol-based fragrance in European history, Aqua Reginae Hungarie (the Water of the Queen of Hungary) is a recreation that blends the fresh, herbal elegance of rosemary, lemon balm, and chamomile with a subtle floral heart of rose and orange blossom. I’ve modernized the original formula by incorporating a nuanced brandy accord, capturing the warmth and depth of the spirit that would have carried the perfume centuries ago, creating a fragrance that’s at once historical and timeless.

Aqua Reginae Hungarie
